If There Were No Humans

If there were no humans,
the Earth would have breathed,
grown forests, broken mountains,
raised storms.

But nothing would have remembered.
No witness, no story, no trace—
only the rhythm of wind and stone.

What If There Were Only You?

Yes… you would remember where water flows,
where fruit ripens,
where shelter holds against the rain.

But beyond that…?

Without another face,
there would be no reflection of yourself.
You would not call yourself good or bad,
strong or weak,
important or insignificant—
those words are born from comparison.

Without another voice,
there would be no language
to wrap around experience.
A sunset would not be beautiful
it would simply be.

Without an audience,
there would be no need
to record,
to preserve,
to say “this happened to me.”

The river would pass,
and you would pass with it,
like clouds dissolving into the sky.
