Are you measuring or living

Are you living your life—or constantly measuring it?

How can “love” be measured?
Can “meaning” be measured?
Can “inner silence” be measured?

Things changed when I started seeing the two worlds we live in..

The outside world—the physical universe—adheres to structure and rules.
Math turns observations into equations.
Science explains how things work.

Here, observation is simply a measurement.

But then there is the inner world, the psychological space inside our heads.
Here, we spend most of our time in a cycle of comparison, judgment, and projection.

We compare everything—people, events, outcomes.
We judge them and assign meaning to them.
We scheme to chase or avoid them.

It all starts with comparison.

And comparison is simply measurement.
We have taken a tool that works for the stars and the soil and forced it upon the “self”—a place where it was never meant to be applied.

If there is comparison, can there truly be love?
If meaning comes from comparison, is it real?
When the mind is busy measuring, is there any room left for silence?

The first step to freedom is seeing the tools for what they are.
